I have always been pas­sion­ate about writ­ing — the mys­ter­i­ous pro­cess of let­ting your inner world spill out onto the page in all it’s tech­nicolor glory. The buzz of a pen that can’t stop mov­ing, the anti­cip­a­tion of what’s going to hap­pen, the cath­arsis of completion!

Of course, it’s not always like this. There are many days when there seems to be no time to write, your computer’s broken, the kids have flu, the dog needs walk­ing or your mind feels like the bot­tom of the bar­rel. Writ­ing can also be very isol­at­ing, just you and your head for days on end, which is why being apart of a writ­ing group can be just the ticket.

I began facil­it­at­ing cre­at­ive writ­ing courses and groups in Manchester in the 1990’s fol­low­ing my drama degree. I then freel­anced for any­one who would com­mis­sion me as I trav­elled around the world dis­cov­er­ing love, life and all that matters.

My need to write and yet to be con­nect­ing with other writers remains as ardent as ever. I cur­rently run cre­at­ive writ­ing groups and courses in Wilm­ing­ton and Car­o­lina Beach.
