FIRE – a mighty ele­ment with the power to cre­ate and des­troy in equal meas­ure. Hyp­not­iz­ing, raging, sooth­ing and magical, we can won­der at the dan­cing flame of a candle and fear the blaze of a forest fire. The sun is a huge ball of it and the centre of the earth is full of it. Most rituals incor­por­ate it and every human being relies on it in one way or another. One thing we know for cer­tain is that fire demands our respect!

As par­ents, we are con­stantly aware of our respons­ib­il­it­ies towards our chil­dren. We watch our babies unfold and feel it is up to us to teach them everything from self esteem to road safety, from their first steps to social skills. Par­ent­ing can some­times seem like one long road of teach­ing, guid­ing and dis­cip­lin­ing. Yet this rela­tion­ship can be a won­der­ful two way street if we are open to it. Intu­it­ive, insight­ful, even tele­pathic, chil­dren can be a huge source of untapped wis­dom. At times start­ling and at oth­ers hil­ari­ous, chil­dren are always full of sur­pris­ing gems and it’s up to us to embrace them.

The brains behind this excit­ing pro­ject is Rus­sell Nash who came to Spain in 2002 with his part­ner and son and has a life long back­ground in per­form­ance and music.
